About Blackgirlthinking:
First and foremost I am a mother and a child of God. I have two wonderful boys ages 8yrs old and 1 yrs old. I live in Tennessee, and have lived here all of my life. I currently work in the field of Finance and somewhat enjoy it. I love to shop, read blogs and last but not least write. Even though I don’t read nearly as much as I need to or used to, where I slack in reading books, I make up by reading online articles and blogs (lots and lots of blogs) lol.
I used to write poetry, but the fullfilness of that left me quite some time ago. My passion for fiction writing developed around my high school years and has never completely diminished, even though I have stood under the storm cloud of rejection quite a few times. Writing is such a huge portion of my life and I could not imagine my life without it.
I have been working on quite a few books for quite a long time. I have so many book ideas in my head that sometimes they get jumbled and I have to take a break and procratinate lol A while back I was looking for an agent and all I got was rejection letters, no one wanted to take a chance on lil ole me. After a while the rejection killed my spirit and I stopped my agent search and slacked up on my writing. I did a little writing here and there, but I definitely didn’t actually sit down and work on any books, because I was disappointed that as much as I loved to write, my writing may never be published.
But, even when I wasn’t actively writing, my brain was still working overtime with ideas, book ideas, blog ideas and just jumbled thoughts about short stories etc. I knew I had to write so I started back actively working on my book/s and started back blogging regularly. So here I am today, doing what I love to do which is writing. It is definitely my passion.
